Anoka is the county seat of Anoka County, Minnesota. The city is situated along the Rum River, approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis. Anoka is often referred to as the "Halloween Capital of the World" as it is believed to be one of the first cities in the United States to host a Halloween parade, dating back to 1920.
