Albania's population is roughly 2.7 million people based on recent World Bank figures. The country has seen slow growth and even slight declines some years, partly because more Albanians emigrate for work and opportunity abroad. Most people live in urban areas like Tirana, which has been the main magnet for jobs and education. Albania’s population is aging a bit, but it still has a decent working-age share compared to many European neighbors. Migration, both historic and current, shapes family life and local economies across the country. With EU ties and developing industries, Albania’s demographic trends are important for planning schools, hospitals, and jobs. All in all, it’s a small country by population but tightly connected to regional migration patterns.
