Armenia’s population stands at about 2.8 million people. It has seen slow population growth and even decline at times due to migration and economic challenges. Yerevan, the capital, is home to nearly half of the country’s residents, making it the main center for jobs and education. Armenia’s population is quite young but aging slowly as birth rates drop and emigration continues. Many Armenians abroad keep close ties to family and culture back home, forming a strong global diaspora. The government works on encouraging people to return and invest locally. Overall, Armenia is a small but deeply connected nation with a proud cultural identity.
