Burundi has a population of about 13.3 million people. It’s one of the most densely populated countries in Africa, with most residents living in rural areas. The population is very young, and the birth rate remains among the highest in the world. Agriculture is the main source of income, and land pressure is a major concern. Urbanization is slowly increasing as people move to towns for jobs and education. Despite economic struggles, communities remain tight-knit and resourceful. Overall, Burundi’s growing population is full of energy but faces challenges in development and infrastructure.
