The Central African Republic has a population of about 6.3 million people. It’s one of the least densely populated countries in Africa, with vast rural areas and a few growing towns. The population is very young, and families tend to be large. Years of instability have affected population distribution, with many people displaced or migrating for safety and work. Despite challenges, the population continues to grow thanks to high birth rates. Efforts to improve healthcare and education are ongoing to support young families. Overall, the Central African Republic has a small but resilient and youthful population.
