How many billionaires are there in the world?

According to the popular Forbes magazine, there are around 2,200 billionaires in the world as of 2024.

Most of the billionaires still come from the US, but Chinese billionaires are multiplying fast, as China tries to catch up with America. The total amount of money in the hands of the World's billionaires exceeds 10 trillion dollars. The richest people in the world are Jeff Bezos from Amazon and Bill Gates from Microsoft.
