Mims, Florida is a wonderful unincorporated community located in the northern part of Brevard County, along Florida's eastern coast. It is approximately 35 miles north of the city of Melbourne and about 35 miles east of Orlando. Mims, like many areas in Florida, has a history tied to agriculture and citrus farming. It also played a role in the early space exploration efforts of the United States, as the Kennedy Space Center, which is nearby, became a significant center for space launches and activities.
