Hazlet is a township situated in Monmouth County, central New Jersey, along the Raritan Bayshore. It stands approximately 25 miles south of Newark and 35 miles southwest of New York City. Hazlet is bordered by the Raritan Bay to the east and is surrounded by the municipalities of Holmdel, Aberdeen, and Middletown. Today Hazlet is populated by 20 thousand inhabitants.
