What is Newgrange?

Newgrange is a prehistoric monument located in County Meath, Ireland. It is a large circular mound with an inner stone passage and chamber, constructed over 5,000 years ago during the Neolithic period. The site predates both Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids, making it one of the oldest known structures in the world. Newgrange is famous for its precise alignment with the rising sun during the winter solstice.
