Dana White, the longtime UFC boss, is officially stepping into pro boxing with a new venture under the Zuffa banner. His launch is timed with a big fight: Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford in Vegas on September 13. The plan is to bring more structure into boxing — centralized promotion, more consistency — kind of what he did for MMA. He’s reportedly signed tens of fighters already, and this could change how boxing events are managed in the U.S. If this takes off, traditional promoters might have to adjust or face serious competition. This feels like one of the bigger disruptions in boxing in years.
