What is the history of the Honda Center?

The Honda Center has a rich history that reflects its growth and significance in the Anaheim community. Originally named Anaheim Arena, the venue opened its doors on June 17, 1993. A few days later, it hosted its first event, a sold-out concert by Barry Manilow. In October of the same year, the venue was renamed Arrowhead Pond and became the home of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. In 2005, ownership of both the team and the arena management company transferred to Henry and Susan Samueli. The venue was later renamed Honda Center in 2006, following a naming rights agreement with Honda. Over the years, the arena has hosted numerous memorable events, solidifying its place as a premier entertainment venue in Southern California.
