Crete enjoys a Mediterranean climate—hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Coastal areas stay pretty warm year-round, while the mountains can get chilly in winter and even see snow. Summer temperatures can soar above 30°C (86°F), especially inland. Spring and fall are more comfortable for outdoor activities. And even in winter, the island’s got a mild charm—perfect for hiking or exploring archaeological sites without the crowds. Just pack accordingly!
