The capital of Chad is N’Djamena. It’s located where the Chari and Logone rivers meet, right across the border from Cameroon. N’Djamena is the largest city in the country and its main center for trade and government. The city mixes busy markets, mosques, and modern buildings with traditional neighborhoods. The climate is hot and dry for most of the year, with cooler nights. Visitors often enjoy seeing the local markets and trying Chadian dishes like grilled meat and millet-based foods. The National Museum offers a glimpse into Chad’s diverse history and cultures.
