The official language in Greece is Greek. It’s one of the oldest recorded languages in the world and still used with pride today. Modern Greek is spoken everywhere, while English is widely understood in tourist areas. Some older generations may also know French or German. Greek has its own alphabet, which looks beautiful but can take a little time to get used to. Learning a few Greek words like “Kalimera” (good morning) can go a long way. The language reflects Greece’s ancient history and vibrant culture.
