Shakespeare died in 1616 at the age of 52, which was fairly average for the time. No one knows the exact cause of death because medical records weren’t detailed back then. He left behind property, financial accounts, and gifts for his family and friends in his will. Shakespeare is buried inside Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon. His grave has a famous warning inscription against moving his bones. The town celebrates him every year with events, parades, and theatre. His burial site remains a major tourist attraction.
