Before becoming king, Charles spent most of his adult life as the Prince of Wales. He worked on environmental issues, climate awareness, and sustainable farming long before they became mainstream topics. He founded The Prince’s Trust, which has helped millions of young people with education and jobs. He carried out thousands of royal engagements over the years. Charles also took on big ceremonial duties representing the UK around the world. Many of his projects focused on architecture and community renewal. All that work built the base for his role as king.
