What’s the weather like in New Brunswick throughout the year?

New Brunswick has four distinct seasons that can vary widely depending on where you are in the province. Summers are generally warm and pleasant, with daytime temperatures often in the 20s °C (70s–80s °F) and plenty of sunshine for beaches, hikes, and outdoor festivals. Spring and fall bring crisp air and colorful scenery — especially in fall when the leaves turn bright red, orange, and gold. Winters can be cold and snowy, with temperatures frequently dipping below freezing and heavy snowfall, so warm clothes and winter driving skills are a must. Coastal areas near the Bay of Fundy can feel more moderate in winter thanks to ocean influence, while inland regions cool off faster. Spring can also bring lots of rain as the snow melts and the province transitions into the warmer months. Because of this variety, travelers often pick late spring through early fall as the most comfortable time to visit.
