The Great Mosque of Mecca, or Masjid al-Haram, is the largest mosque in the world. It surrounds the Kaaba, which is the focal point of Islamic worship. The mosque covers an area of more than 350,000 square meters and can accommodate millions of worshippers. Over the years, it has undergone multiple expansions to handle the increasing number of pilgrims. The mosque includes important Islamic sites such as the Black Stone, the Zamzam Well, and Safa and Marwah hills. It serves as the center of the Hajj and Umrah rituals. Its spiritual importance makes it the heart of Islamic faith.
