European Nations Strengthen NATO Readiness as Russian Incursions Rise

Several European countries, including the UK, Germany, France, and Denmark, escalated military partnerships in response to recent Russian drone incursions into Polish and Romanian airspace. The UK pledged Typhoon fighters to deploy over Poland under a newly formed “Eastern Sentry” mission, aimed at reinforcing NATO’s eastern flank. Joint exercises and border monitoring are expanding in response to perceived threats and rising tension. Sweden, feeling increasingly vulnerable, announced a boost in its defense budget citing these incursions. The moves reflect growing unity among NATO members around deterrence and collective security in face of Russian pressure.
