Honestly, late spring and early fall are sweet spots — the weather's awesome and the summer crush has died down. July and August are peak for beach crowds, cruise ships and higher prices, so expect packed streets if you go then. If you want events and a lively scene but fewer tourists, try May-June or September-October. Winters are mild and quieter, but some beach spots feel sleepy and a few tourist places close up. Shoulder seasons also give you better hotel deals and easier restaurant bookings. Pack layers — evenings can be breezy even after hot days. All in all, pick shoulder months for the best balance of sun and chill.
