Safety in Haiti changes depending on what’s happening politically and where you are. Some areas, especially Port-au-Prince, can be unstable, while smaller towns and coastal spots are often calmer. Travelers who go usually stick to places like Jacmel or Cap-Haïtien, known for art and colonial history. It’s smart to check official travel advisories, travel with a guide, and stay alert like you would in any developing country. That said, locals are famously warm and helpful if you show respect and common sense. Most problems are about infrastructure or protests, not hostility toward visitors. So yes, you can visit, but plan ahead and travel smart.
