It is especially famous for its mountain gorillas, which can be seen in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The country also hosts numerous national parks such as Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth and Kidepo Valley, known for game drives and safaris. Uganda’s equatorial location includes snow‑capped peaks in the Rwenzori Mountains, tropical forests and expansive lakes like Lake Victoria. Adventure tourism such as white‑water rafting, bird‑watching and cultural experiences draws many visitors. Its cultural heritage includes more than 50 distinct ethnic groups with rich traditions.
