Bingham (1841-1912), a general in the American Civil War and a U.S. Congressman from Pennsylvania. The area of Bingham County is about 2095 square miles. This county, set up in 1885, is populated today by 49 thousand residents. Blackfoot is the county seat of Bingham County.
