All Major Banks Close for Labor Day; ATMs and Online Services Still Available

Due to Labor Day, all major U.S. bank branches—including Chase, Bank of America, and ICBC—will be closed on September 1, halting in-person banking services like deposits and transactions. However, ATMs and online platforms will continue to operate for customers. Postal and USPS services are also suspended, causing mail delivery delays until September 2. Some private services, like FedEx Office and FedEx Custom Critical, will run on reduced schedules. Consumers are advised to plan ahead for financial or shipping needs to avoid disruptions during the holiday closure.
