For classic wildlife viewing, the dry seasons (roughly June–October and January–February) make animals easier to spot around waterholes. If you want the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara, aim for late July through early October when river crossings often happen. Beach lovers will find the coast warm year-round, with calmer seas in January–March and July–October. The “long rains” can fall around March–May, which means lush landscapes but some muddy roads. Whatever month you pick, plan early for safaris and national parks that book up fast.
