Maui’s weather is pretty steady year-round, but timing makes a big difference for your experience. Summer months (June–August) bring hotter temps, calmer ocean conditions, and more families since school’s out. Winter (December–March) is whale season, so the ocean’s more active and you’ll see amazing breaching from shore. If you want fewer tourists and better prices, April–May and September–October are the sweet spots. The weather’s still warm, beaches are less crowded, and hotels aren’t charging peak rates. Rain mostly hits the lush east side, while west and south Maui stay sunnier. Shoulder seasons give you the best balance of calm, sunshine, and budget.
